     The department of Physics at Blossom Arts and Science College started in the academic year 2012-2013. B.Sc. physics is 3-year under graduate course that deals with the fundamentals of physics and its different properties. This course aims to provide the aspirants with the foundation knowledge possible for a science -based career. The programme is split into six semesters.it deals with advanced scientific fields of physics, mathematics and chemistry.

The major goal of physics is:

·      to provide the students with a broad understanding of the physical principal of the Universe,

·      to help develop critical thinking and quantitative reasoning skills,

·      to empower them to think creatively and critically about scientific problems and experiments, and

·      to provide training for students in planning careers in physics

We apply the transformative power of physics to the foremost scientific problems, educate the next generation of leading physicists, and promote the public understanding of physics.

As Albert Einstein said, there are two perspectives of life: one as though nothing is a miracle, and the other as though everything is a miracle. This miracle, of course, is physics.

• To impart quality education both in theoretical and experimental physics through effective Teaching Learning process and to motivate students to pursue higher studies in Physics which will improve their career forecasts.
• To support the developmental activities of the college by encouraging the students to participate both in co-curricular and extracurricular events.
